FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions we hear most.
How does card scanning work? +
Point your camera at any Pokémon card and PokéVault's AI will instantly identify it — reading the card name, set, number, type, and HP. You'll get the current market price and a PSA grading estimate in seconds. For best results, make sure the card is well-lit, in focus, and the full card is visible in the frame.
How many scans do I get each month? +
Your monthly scan allowance depends on your plan:
Each AI card scan counts as one scan. Browsing your collection, checking prices, setting alerts, and using the trade checker do not count as scans. Unused scans reset each billing period and do not roll over.
| Plan | AI Scans / month | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 5 | $0 |
| Hobbyist | 80 | $7.99 / mo · $79.99 / yr |
| Collector | 160 | $15.99 / mo · $159.99 / yr |
| Vault | 350 + Bulk Scan (up to 20 cards per session) | $29.99 / mo · $299.99 / yr |
What happens when I reach my scan limit? +
When you've used all your AI scans for the billing period, card scanning will be unavailable until your count resets. Everything else continues to work — browsing your collection, checking market prices, setting price alerts, and using the trade checker do not count as scans and are unaffected. Upgrading your plan restores scan access immediately. Unused scans do not roll over; they reset at the start of each billing period.
How do I upgrade my subscription? +
Open PokéVault and go to Profile → Subscription, then select the plan you'd like to upgrade to. The purchase is processed through the App Store or Google Play. Your new plan takes effect immediately after payment is confirmed.
How do I cancel my subscription? +
Cancellations are managed through the platform you subscribed on — not inside the app. See the Manage Your Subscription section below for step-by-step instructions for iOS and Android. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
Which Pokémon card sets are supported? +
PokéVault supports English Pokémon TCG cards from Base Set through the latest releases. We aim to add new sets as quickly as possible after their launch.
How accurate are the market prices? +
Card prices are sourced from a third-party market data provider and are updated regularly to reflect current market values. Prices are provided for informational purposes only and may not reflect real-time conditions. Actual sale prices may vary depending on condition, platform, and timing.
How accurate is the PSA grading estimate? +
The grading estimate is an AI assessment based on your photo and should be treated as a guide, not a definitive grade. Lighting, angle, and image quality all affect the result. For high-value cards, we always recommend professional grading through PSA, BGS, or CGC.
Is my collection data private? +
Yes. Your collection is private and only accessible to you. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for any purpose. Read our Privacy Policy for the full details on what we collect and how we use it.
